eva is now LIVE across Australasia
After a brilliant launch party in Melbourne last week eva has officially launched in Australia, New Zealand, and the Phillipines! Download the app and start sharing your videos with the world!
So what’s the fuss over the video social network?
It’s like Vine but without the 6-second restriction; it’s like Instagram but in full screen portrait; it’s like Periscope but all your content is kept in the cloud forever. So what sets eva apart from these other social platforms? Well, we could tell you about all of its advanced and unique technology, but we know that’s not what you want to hear (unless of course you do, in which case we’ll post a future blog about all that!).
What sets eva apart is that we’re focusing on the user experience through communities and content. Consumer’s care about 3 things:
- their friends, and what their friends are doing
- stories that engage and excite them
- being part of something that is bigger than they are
This last point has a caveat, in that although consumers want to be part of something huge, they also need it to be something small enough to influence them. They care about people, emotions, friends and life, so that’s where the communities and content aspect of eva will really appeal. Over the next 12 months eva will engage in community and content generating activities across the globe. Our job is not to build a whole load of features and functions, but to build a globally successful app by getting the technology out of the way of the user.
After just 24 hours eva was 17th in Australia and 12th in the New Zealand App Stores
There has already been a great response from our most recent eva users, with many thousands of users downloading the app across Australasia already. We’ve loved watching the great videos produced by the new members of our growing eva family – and during our first weekend, eva reached the top-10 in the Australian iTunes App Store!
eva is also available to download in the UK, Ireland, Belgium, the Netherlands, Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Norway, and Iceland. Stay tuned for more info about where eva will be heading next…
