Top 3 Makeup Trends 2016 You Should Try
In her second blog for eva, guest blogger and YouTuber Joyce Lee shares her take on this year’s makeup trends!
As a makeup junkie myself, I am always looking for new products and new makeup trends for the upcoming seasons. As spring is just around the corner (probably not for another month for us in Britain, but hey, does it really matter?), here are some of my top makeup trends 2016!
Are you a nude lipstick kind of girl? Well you should definitely switch things up a bit in Spring 2016!
Bold colours are very on trend this year, so forget about the nude, pinky lips. Try out dark berry lips and the classic bold red lips instead! Also, if you are not afraid of drying formula, liquid lipsticks are definitely the way to go! If you are not the biggest fan of liquid lipsticks, then try out Charlotte Tilbury’s Matte Revolution Lipsticks. They provide a matte finish but at the same time they won’t dry out your lips, and the shades range from your day-to-day nude to the deep berry shade – perfect!
If you want your skin looking flawless, then the colour-correction trend is definitely for you!
Using colour-correcting products can neutralise redness on your face or the blueness under your eyes. With concealer on top you are going to look absolutely FLAWLESS! YSL just released their Touche Eclat Neutralisers, the shade violet counteracts the yellow tone, bisque neutralises the blueness and the shade green works really well to counteracts the redness!
More makeup trends 2016 straight out of the runway is the pop of blue on the eyes.
Boss, Chanel, Marc Jacobs, and a lot more fashion brands embraced this trend during London Fashion Week, from electric blue to a smoky navy. How can you adapt this trend to something you can do day to day? Try using a navy eyeliner instead of your usual black or dark brown eyeliner, or put on some dark navy shadow on your outer-v instead! Urban Decay’s 24/7 Glide-on Eye Pencil is a really good choice for this look (in the shade Sabbath) or, alternatively, the shade Earl Grey in the Too Faced Chocolate Bon Bons Palette is also a stunning shade to apply on your lid!
